We've been going to Antigua since 1999 for Antigua Sailing Week
(www.sailingweek.com),
both for racing and crusing. It is most certainly the best sailing in
the world!
Antigua and Barbuda are located at the top of the Leeward Islands in the Caribbean. During the season (Nov - Jul), winds are consistently at 10-20 knots from the southeast. We once did a passage from Guadeloupe to Antigua (42 nm) in a little under 5 hours without touching a sail! Absolutely incredible! Following are just a couple of shots from our trips. We usually charter a bareboat through SunSail, but our good friend Neville Holloway runs IdyllicSailing (www.idyllicsailing.com if you're interested in a skippered charter.
