Santa Cruz Whale Watching
The crew from NASA Ames Sailing Club in search of the elusive whale! March
13 was just one of the many great sails aboard a Catalina 34 chartered from
Pacific Yachting & Sailing in Santa Cruz. Unfortunately, we didn't see any
whales this trip, but we did see 2 or 3 dolphins just off our stern, and a
few seals!
Pictured back row; Dawn Evans, Stan Phillips, and Doug (Dawn's
"little brother"). Front row; Shirley Burek, Becky Hooey, Lorraine DeGarmo,
new member Joyce Barrett, and Brian Gore. Photo was taken by Deanna, a
friend of Shirley's.

Jack Frost Mid-Winters
All in all, we had a pretty good time with the 5 race series. Any day
on the Bay, sailing with friends and family, is a good day indeed!

Friday's in Redwood City
Our Friday afternoon sails out of Redwood City Marina are fun, relaxing, and
a great way to end the week. We plan to do them year round as long
as the weather is good.
